RONES CHAPEL AREA EXERCISE & WELLNESS ACTIVITIES PROGRAM
REAP the Benefits of Wellness
Research shows that the EXERCISE of Brain/Mind, Body, & Spirit are critical for Good Health, Quality of Life, and Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Illness.

REAP is a free mind-body-spirit wellness program open to all at no charge. It is centered on exercise and education. REAP provides tools for you to take charge of your whole-person wellness.
Monitoring Equipment
We provide supplies, equipment, and training for you to check your blood pressure, heart rate, blood glucose, A1C, Cholesterol, and weight. Use it before and/or after Fitness Classes and during Open Gym hours. Early detection of problem readings outside the normal range can help you address concerns with your healthcare provider.
Fitness Classes
Monday - Thursday
10-11am
Our free classes provide exercise and activities to improve balance, flexibility, coordination, strength, and endurance. You set your own pace. Every activity can be adjusted for fitness levels from beginner to advanced.
Or you can use our cardio equipment during the hour instead of participating in class.
The building opens at 9:45 a.m. for use of equipment or to use monitoring supplies.
Stress Reduction Practice
Exercise itself is a stress reducer. Additionally, each fitness class teaches a stress management technique such as guided imagery, breathing exercises, body awareness, healthy stretching, meditative methods, and progressive relaxation. These are tools you can choose from to reduce the physical and mental effects of stress in your life.
Social Support
Many REAP participants say that what sets this program apart is the sense of community and the friendships that grow among class members. Research shows that having people in your life who support you contributes to good health and longevity. Each fitness class includes information on community activities.
Open Gym
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
4-7pm

RCACC is open for independent use of exercise equipment, monitoring supplies, and other wellness tools.

All participants must be at least 18 years of age or older to participate in open gym.

Wellness Education
RCACC holds Wellness Talks with expert speakers on a variety of topics each month. They offer information for the "whole person." Topics range from health subjects like diabetes, stroke, mental illness, and nutrition, to life 'lessons' like how to change habits, estate planning, self-defense, and much more. Participants tell us what they'd like to learn more about, and we incorporate requests into the schedule.
**Suspended due to COVID. We hope to restart in 2023.
